Several Years ago, during a leadership conference that Kelly and I attended, God began to stir our hearts to plant a church. Together we prayed and we felt direction to the city of Arnold. I have grown up in the Imperial area most of my life and this is my home. It is my community. Kelly and I felt a burden to serve the community of Arnold.
We talked about the things we wanted to see this church do. We prayed about how we could best meet the needs of the city we felt called to. Our vision for Arnold is two-fold. We want to share hope with people who feel hopeless and we want to share community with people who are doing life alone.Â
HOPE- the first word of our church name is a word that we pray daily. We pray our city experiences the power of hope. People in our community, our neighbors and our co-workers, they face depression, fear, anxiety, health issues, family problems, financial situations, marriage problems, grief, shame, guilt and a never ending list of difficulties. Our vision for Hope Community Church is to be a refuge of hope. A place where people can find a source of true joy through a relationship with a God who loves them. There is hope in a relationship with Jesus because he is the only one that can offer true joy, healing, restoration, provision, and peace in our lives. We want to see our city thrive by living a life of abundant hope and community.
COMMUNITY- the second word of our church name perfectly describes our passion for our city. We want to serve Arnold by offering a place of safety through a community of believers. God intended for us to do life together. We were not created to walk through the hardships of life alone but to walk together. We are stronger together. God built the church to be a place where we can worship together, pray together, weep together, celebrate together, and do life together. Hope Community Church believes in the power of community.
In May 2024, God blessed us with a beautiful building and property in the center of Arnold.
